First wedding post!

My fiance and I have started planning the big day..slowly but surely. So...for all you (fellow) closet wedding fanatics out there, here is the first (of many, to be sure) wedding posts.

I say, why not start with the most important part of the wedding? THE GOWN. Obviously.

Here is what I know: A-line, floor length, strapless (probably) and definitely, DEFINITELY not white white. It's not a good color for me.

I saw these books in Anthropologie and am loving them. If I had it my way, every book in my library would have a cover like these. They make me feel so much more intellectual for some reason...

The weekend at a glance..

This weekend was eventful. In a good way.

Walked to Starlite Friday evening for happy hour with Francis. I helped myself to a Hibiscus margarita and we shared a plate of various ~fried~ vegetables (but still veggies, right?) dipped in yummy ranch.

Saturday, we got the new espresso machine up and running (thanks, Mom) and enjoyed a cappucino with breakfast. Squeezed in a late afternoon bike ride to the zoo. Met good friends for sushi, and another good friend for after dinner drinks.

Sunday included a morning bike ride to a cafe in Banker's Hill. And afternoon shopping with Allie (sister) for a winter formal dress.

Finished the weekend off right with a veggie burger (drowning in mustard=YUM) and some Arrested Development. Perfect end to a great weekend.

A new year...

Happy New Year, one and all. Getting a late start this year...my resolution is already a little shaky.

These flowers are just too delicious not to share. These simple flowers-jar arrangements make me squeal a little bit...a little Thursday pick-me-up.
