As promised (if not quite a bit later than promised) another vacation post. The first leg of our journey started with a tour of UC Davis in 100 degree heat. We then pushed on to the American River for some whitewater rafting. Class III and IV rapids are available here and to anyone considering such a trip, go with American River Recreation: they're the best of the best.

weekend
Friday evening I spent some time with a dear old friend. We walked to and through Little Italy, scored a table via more friends at Extraordinary Desserts and had us some decadence.
Saturday the mister and I were reunited after a week apart. After lazily basking in the sun together for most of the afternoon we joined the masses and saw 'Inception'.
Sunday we celebrated with friends at my first ever Jewish/Mexican wedding. We ate, we drank, we danced, we toasted. Every table got a bottle of tequila, and every place setting came with its own shot glass for said toasting (at regular intervals throughout the night). It was a festive night and we finally called it quits after 8 hours of wedding. We didn't stay for breakfast.
