People often ask me if I've always been patriotic. I don't know...have I?

Confessions
Have you ever asked yourself what you would eat if you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life? Possibly surprising, or perhaps not surpsing at all (to those who really know me) I would absolutely, no contest, don't-even-have-to-think-about-it, eat PB and J* for the rest of my life.
Blammo.

Weekend
{Anne with an 'e'}
Despite never stepping outside and never changing out of my pajamas on Sunday (unless changing into different pajamas counts as getting dressed), our weekend was pleasantly busy.
Happy hour at Starlite on Friday was followed by a Wes Andersen themed party hosted by a friend of F's in Encinitas.
Saturday was all business - F building an architectural model for his old firm and me doing loads of dishes and laundry. We broke with routine Saturday afternoon and met some friends in La Jolla for a pro-bono maternity photo shoot. It was a first for all parties involved and the result - I must say- is pretty awesome. I wrapped up Saturday by having dinner with an old friend, and post-dinner drinks with old and new friends at Hamilton's Tavern in South Park (whilst F continued worked tirelessly into the night on said model).
Sunday. Ah, Sunday. Picture cloudy weather, pajamas, giant cups of coffee, Anne of Avonlea, and a sewing machine. You think I'm kidding about not stepping outside? I'm not.

Warner Springs Weekend
After calling it Sycamore Hot Springs for over a week, Francis and I spent last weekend at Warner Hot Springs to recharge our batteries. Hiking and tennis were balanced with hot spring soaking and Scrabble-by-light-of-fire. If you haven't been I highly recommend heading out Warner Springs way for a stay. It's reasonable, accessible, and awesome.
(*Warner Hot Springs also acted as some kind of vortex within which all of the photos taken of me turned out surprisingly non-monstrous. Enjoy.)

The Weekend, briefly
I'll keep it short. The amazing weather this weekend forced me to spend as much time outside as possible. These outings included an awesome wedding venue tour in the hills of northeast San Diego (where succulents and farm animals were in abundance), a late afternoon drive down 101, some beach roaming, biking, and cafe reading. These bits were punctuated by prep for a February baby shower to take place a la casa de Fran-tina.
