Weekend (!)

Great weekend, despite the pouring rain. Yoga and hot tub at Fit on Friday. Saturday, my younger sister (holler) headed down San Diego way via Amtrak to tour colleges with her wise older sister. We toured SDSU and UCSD in the rain, but only once got caught without umbrellas in a downpour on our way back from grabbing lunch. We. were. soaked.

Sunday was a gorgeous day. We took advantage of the sun and rode bikes through Banker's Hill. We had an essential mid-day sweet-fest at Extraordinary Desserts. We rode through Balboa Park, did some reading, and relaxed the rest of the day.

Happy hump day everyone.

The morning was off to a rocky start for this one...woke up late, exhausted, and starving, hated everything I tried on, and hit every red light possible on my commute. But the day has fortunately taken a more positive turn and I'm determined to make this day a good one.

Weekend fun

Great weekend despite the rain. Hit up Fit on Friday night, and couldn't resist stopping to get myself a Heavenly Cupcake on the way home (which I happily enjoyed all by myself).

Saturday I planted succulents, finished some headbands, made a ~sweet~ birthday card (photos to come once it has been presented to the recipient), enjoyed some wine and the amazing projector that F set up, and ended the night with dinner and friends downtown.

On Sunday, the rain kept us in for a lazy, lazy morning. But the weather cleared up enough in the afternoon for us to take a lovely bike ride to the zoo.

Thursday lovliness

three day, v-day weekend

Francis and I started the long weekend off right with some In n Out fireside in the backyard.
Saturday morning I got a haircut, then, thanks to the ~amazing~ weather, we went downtown to stroll around, have lunch, and do a bit of shopping (which apparently exhausted us both because we both had to take evening naps when we got home).

Sunday was gorgeous to say the least and so we willingly spent the entire day outside, lots of biking, squeezed in some reading-on-the-beach time (surf time for F) and our Valentine's Day picnic. Ended the day at the movies watching 'It's Complicated'...pretty cute.

Monday was even more glorious and we basically repeated Sundays adventures, minus the Valentines Day stuff. Ended the weekend accordingly by starting our 39 day membership at the swankiest gym I have ever been to, Fit.

It's finally Friday and I'm in high spirits at the prospect of a three day weekend. There really isn't any better feeling that waking up on Sunday morning knowing that you still have one more day off.

As for Valentines Day, F and I are going to take a late afternoon bike ride and park it at Presidio Park here in San Diego and enjoy the sunset and a Bronx Pizza. In other words, the perfect Valentines Day.

Oh, and I want a pink door.
