When I wasn't resting on the sofa with tea and Vogue, F and I were strolling about San Diego, getting dinner with friends followed by a Wii dance-off, carving pumpkins, getting ridiculous with the camera (see below), running errands, and catching up on our stories.

sick + weekend

Some strange strain of the flu kept me out of commission a couple of days this week, hence the very late post. So, here is a very brief look at last weekend.

Friday: Jonsi concert with F.

Saturday: F had a friend from Cal Poly SLO staying with us for the weekend, so whilst they surfed, I swap meet'd. Backyard fire before going downtown for Thai dinner*.

Sunday: Rain = blah. Walk to Little Italy for a Burger Lounge lunch. Going to see 'The Social Network' (I recommend if you're an Aaron Sorkin fan).

* Our friend's friend who met us for Thai is an ENT so naturally I got all of my weird questions and queries out of the way. I sounded like this: 'sometimes one of my ears get all red and hot, what's that about?...I had vertigo this one time - uggghh...when do I really need antibiotics.... what's the weirdest thing you see..."

We didn't take many pictures this weekend. Not for lack of excitement...we just didn't seem to take the camera many places. Thus, I've combined some bits from last week to bulk up this 'weekend' post.

Last week, briefly: Wine Steals with some lovely ladies from college, a late night storm, Southern California not being able to make up its damn mind about the weather, and a birthday celebration at the Strip Club steak house downtown (not an actual strip club, just a steak house).

The weekend, briefly: some fabulous nothingness on Friday evening, 3+ hours spent at the beach on Saturday afternoon where aforementioned ocean swimming ensued (sans wetsuit!), hanging with good friends at our pad Saturday night, El Camino brunch with the girls complete with $1 mimosas, and finally a Coronado photo-walk-about. Exhale.
