El Paso move-in

I recently returned from my first 'move-in' experience with Pamela Smith Interiors. We flew to our clients' newly built house in El Paso, Texas for a week and a half. We moved our clients completely into their new home, right down to the clothes in their closets, the spices transferred to their sleek and appropriately labeled containers...need I say more? It was a great experience, first to see the house in person after looking at it in autocad for over a year, and second to see the house transform over the days that we were there. Though mentally and physically exhausting, I'm glad I was able to partake in the move. My thoughts on El Paso: unique in a sleepy, desert town sort of way...interesting and beautiful at times.

Gretchen and I spent weeks making these mosaic Koi fish. Each fish took about 4 to 5 hours from start to finish. So exciting to see them installed! They look so beautiful and fluid in the water. If you need some mosaic work done, we're your girls.

I became a little obsessed with the view. It was breath-taking.

We watched the most amazing sunsets from the house.

The best part of the trip was watching the weather. Desert weather is amazing and ever-changing. There were a few lighting storms during our stay and some crazy wind storms. The weather was more sporadic than I'd anticipated, very enjoyable...from indoors.
