The flight to Barcelona from Mallorca is an easy one, despite un-air conditioned airports at both ends. After some confusing metro connections and more un-air conditioned public transit stations we arrived at our hip, cheap, clean, and accessible hotel. We explored Barcelona alone for the first day and a half before meeting up with some family, coming down with brutal food poisoning, and meeting up with more family. Respectively.
Despite the heat and 48 hour food poisoning we loved this frenetic capital of Catalonia. It is a city of wonders for design enthusiasts/nerds like us. We hope to return for a longer stay, perhaps in the spring or fall. And perhaps we won't have falafel wraps....
