Alas, our last day in Vancouver was glorious. It was a day of coastal wandering and the exploration of various Vancouver neighborhoods (
those who know me know I insisted on exploring some posh residential areas and Francis obliged - reason # 2,030,845 why I love him). We explored the University of BC campus, botanical gardens, and its surrounding forest trails.
We made our way over to the amazing Naam (again) for lunch and afterward we walked about the hip area of Kitsilano. We walked through Kits Beach, past the Vancouver Yacht Club, Jericho Park, and some other areas I can't remember. Before meeting up with friends for drinks and dinner, we made our way through the unexplored eastern part of Stanley Park and up to North Vancouver.
After drinks in North VC (at the Lonsdale Quay Public Market) we headed downtown for sushi and a long post-dinner stroll through the city. The following morning we packed up and headed down Seattle-way for a few more hours of WA before heading home....
{impromptu hike. trail head was literally on the side of the road. I heart VC}
{enjoying the greenery} {walking off a Naam lunch along a pebble beach somewhere in Kitsilano} {always has to get his feet wet. Vancouver islands in the distance} {rock dancing} {fallen tree, Francis} {local berries} {totem pole at Kits Beach} {some interesting/vibrant pods} {view of Davie Village/downtown from Kits beach} {another beautiful VC sunset} {sun rays} {lighthouse in Stanley Park, North VC (and a sulfur mill) in the background} {...Frau Brucher...} {lion, Stanley Park} {Lions Gate Bridge to North VC} {a nice pic of my husband-to-be}
