Seattle, Part II

After seeing the Space Needle, we made our way to the water. The coastline of the Pacific Northwest is gorgeous, all the islands and the ferries...love. We soaked up the scenery a bit then weaved through downtown to the Seattle Public Library. You guys, this library is sweet. It's the coolest library I've ever seen (not 'cooler' than the Library of Congress per say, Dad..just different). It has fluorescent escalators, floor-to-ceiling red hallways, and glass all around.

We explored downtown for a few more hours, grabbed a Jimmy John sandwich and made our way north to Fremont. F was on the hunt for a 'troll under the bridge' somewhere in Fremont. We found it, and I don't know what I was expecting, but it is just that. It's a giant troll sculpture under a bridge. After a photoshoot with the troll and a sunset walk by the water, we crashed at our hotel in Everett. The next morning we were headed Vancouver-way, taking a suggested detour on Chuckanut road (aka Highway 11) next to the water. Worth the winding roads.
